Summer Kids' Art Programs Return to the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts

Eight weeks of creativity, exploration and fun planned for children ages 5-12. 

GLOVERSVILLE, N.Y.  –  The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts is offering eight weeks of engaging Kids' Art Programs this summer, providing children ages 5-12, with opportunities to explore creativity, build new skills and make lasting memories through hands-on experiences in art, music, theater, cooking, science and more. The programs will be held weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The programs include:

Week 1: Culinary - Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10.

This program is the perfect opportunity for budding young chefs to explore their creativity in the kitchen. Through hands-on activities, kids will learn the basics of cooking and baking, be introduced to a variety of ingredients and develop their own unique recipes.

Week 2: STEAM - Monday, July 13, to Friday, July 17.

Kids will spend a week learning about science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM). During this program, students will create art and music projects, conduct science experiments and participate in hands-on activities that bring the STEAM concepts to life.

Week 3: Celebrations - Monday, July 20, to Friday, July 24.

In this program, children will learn about various holidays from different cultures around the world. Each day, they will participate in hands-on activities centered on international year-round celebrations.

Week 4: Go Green - Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31.

During this environmentally focused week, kids will explore the world around them while learning about sustainability and simple ways they can help protect the planet.

Week 5: Animals - Monday, August 3, to Friday, August 7.

Through creative projects, interactive activities and educational experiences, participants will discover the fascinating world of animals and the important role every species plays in our ecosystem.

Week 6: All About the Arts - Monday, August 10, to Friday, August 14.

This program will focus on learning about art in every medium to foster confidence, self-expression and a lifelong appreciation for creativity. Participants will build artistic skills while exploring a variety of creative techniques and materials.

Week 7: Performing Arts - Monday, August 17, to Friday, August 21.

This program gives young performers, storytellers and theater enthusiasts the opportunity to spread their creative wings through theater, storytelling and other performing arts activities. Every child will discover and show off their unique talents in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Week 8: Get Active - Monday, August 24, to Friday, August 28.

Every day, kids will participate in games, sports, outdoor activities and more. This program is aimed at helping kids learn the benefits of living an active life and exploring the world around them.

Each program costs $300 per child. Discounts are available to Nigra Arts Center members, and additional children from the same family. Payment is due in full at the time of registration.
