2023-2024 Kids Art Programs

Thanks to the generous support of National Grid, we are able to offer a awesome and affordable kid art programs. Our all-day programs celebrate the arts through music, theater, dance, art and cooking...but that’s only the beginning! The Nigra Arts Center strives to include collaborative life lessons about the environment, volunteerism, and giving back to the community. Our instructors also incorporate STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts, and math) so children have an enlightening, creative and educational experience!

Join us for a fun-filled culinary adventure! Our Kid's Culinary Art Program is the perfect opportunity for budding young chefs to explore their creativity in the kitchen. Children will learn the basics of cooking and baking, as well as develop their own unique recipes. Our instructors will guide them through hands-on activities, teaching them essential cooking techniques and introducing them to a variety of ingredients. Through engaging and interactive lessons, your child will gain valuable culinary skills while having a blast. Don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to ignite your child’s passion for cooking!

Zoo Week is going to be WILD! Kids will explore and learn about animals like never before. Through fun learning and artistic activities, they will discover that every living thing plays an important role in nature as we spend the week bringing classic children’s stories to life through the arts, games and more. With any luck we might even have some furry visitors!

Through this adventure, kidswill delve into the magical world of theater, discovering the power of storytelling, character development and the thrill of live performance. Our program isn’t just about performing on stage—it’s about building confidence and teamwork and fostering a deep appreciation for the arts. Every child will have the opportunity to shine and discover their unique talents in a supportive and encouraging environment.

2024 Black Friday Kids Art Program

Send your kiddos to Black Friday Kids Art Program while you shop! Kids will enjoy making their own gifts to place under the tree for the holidays during this program. They will also take part in a cooking workshop and bring home their own platter of holiday cookies.

2024 Holiday Kids Art Program

After the excitement of Christmas is over, are you left with some kiddos who are already bored on vacation? Send them to us and we will be sure to entertain them! Kids will get to choose from making their very own stuffed snowmen to take home, snowman bowling, making their very own soup to chase the winter blues away or designing their own beautiful charcuterie board that is sure to impress family and friends. They will plan their very own New Year’s Eve party for Friday! We will have a little bit of everything for kids to choose from.

Important Kids Art Program Information

• For each program, the Nigra Arts Center offers a 20% discount for our members, a 10% discount for Lexington employees and a discount for children from the same family.

• Programs are open to children ages 5-12.

• Openings in the Nigra Arts Center Kids Art Programs are very limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

• There will be no refunds or exchanges for any of the programs unless the Nigra Arts Center cancels due to unforeseen circumstances or low enrollment. There are also specific COVID-19 refund policies included in the Parent Information Packet (see below).

• Payment is due in full at the time of registration. Full payment and completed Information Packet paperwork secure your child’s spot in Kids Art Programs.

• Schedules are subject to change depending on instructor availability.

• Most programs involve cumulative projects. Your kid will receive the best results from the program by attending all week (if applicable).

• Early drop-off for each program is available starting at 8:00 a.m. Kids may be picked up any time between 3:00 and 4:00 p.m. Fun activities will be provided during pick-up and drop-off windows!
