Nigra Arts Center opens 2026 with Winter Art Show

Artists from across the United States are featured in this diverse exhibition.

 

GLOVERSVILLE, NY – The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts is set to debut its first show of the new year, the 2026 Winter Art Show, on Friday, January 16. This exhibition features more than 140 pieces in a variety of media by more than 50 artists from across the United States. The show is on display until March 12.

 

Out-of-state artists with work in this exhibition include Maya Lakshmi Srinivasan (Boston, Massachusetts), Christopher Fowler (Point of Rocks, Maryland), John Diephouse (Lansing, Michigan), Stan Wheeler (Miles City, Montana), Kosuke Yuki (Union City, New Jersey) and Lisa Stavinoha (Jacksonville, Texas).

 

Featured New York artists include Linda Biggers, Heather Bivins, Kate Blain, Silvia Bragulla, Daniel Bridge, Art Brod, Bob Buck, John Carver, Donald Cooper, Ruth Crotty, Theresa Dickenson, Gabriella Gabriel Dillmann, Wendy Durkin, Judith Ellers, Allyson Marie Ferri, Leslie Ford, Rhiannon Fralick, Melissa Frere, Bethany Haroldson, Linda K. Hinkle, Greg Hitchcock, André Jones, Conan Kelley, Elizabeth Knapp, Marion Kratky, Gary Larsen, Alex Lozier, Larry Malone, Joshua Maynard, Kathleen Merrick, Jonathan Moore, Billy Moro-Wey, John Morrette, Kathleen H. A Meet the Artists Opening Reception for the show is scheduled for Thursday, January 22, 4-7 p.m. at the Nigra Arts Center. This is a free event where all featured artists and the general public are invited to browse the artwork, mingle with the artists and vote on their favorite pieces. Award winners will be announced at the reception and on the arts center’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/PaulNigraCenter.

 

The gallery is open for public viewing free of charge weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts is located at 2736 State Highway 30, Gloversville.
