Nigra Arts Center Announces Winners of Best in Show Awards for 2025 Harvest Art Show

 

Exhibition of art from across the country on display until October 16.

 

Gloversville, NY – The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts has unveiled its 2025 Harvest Art Show, featuring 132 pieces in a variety of media by more than 54 artists representing six states. This diverse show, which includes pieces of every medium, will be on display until October 16.

Featured out-of-state artists include Julie Czerenda (CT), Amanda D’Agostino (PA), LC DeFiore (AL), James Doremus (NJ), Christopher B. Fowler (MD), Susan Perpich (PA) and Brian Schmidt (CT). Featured New York artists include Dylan Baker, Cheryl Bielli, Tom Bielli, Kate Blain, Tiina Bockrath, Silvia Bragulla, Ross Carangelo, Sue Clark, Janet Cooke, Ruth Crotty, Lisa D’Adamo-Weinstein, Gabriella Gabrial Dillmann, Hudson Dunbar, Wendy Durkin, Terry Failing, Leslie Ford, Carol M. Hesselink, Greg Hitchcock, Kiley Howard, André Jones, Maureen Kelly, Elizabeth Knapp, Michael Kratky, Gary Larsen, Alex Lozier, Larry Malone, Kathleen Miles, John Morrette, Lynda Naske, Nancy Niefield, Colom O’Leary, Richard Penhardt, Chip Perone, Sandra Peters, Regina Quinn, Kathie Raneri, Wyatt Rich, Alan Schroeder, Cynthia Sheeler, Kathleen Simmons, Bruce Thorne, Lita Thorne, Sean Walmsley, Lisa Holstein Wells, Kevin Wright, Janet Marie Yeates and a collaborative group of artists from Saratoga Bridges Creative Endeavors Arts Center.

The Nigra Arts Center announced the winners of the Best in Show awards for this exhibition at a Meet the Artists Opening Reception on August 14, attended by more than 50 artists and community members. Award prizes include cash and a free one-year membership to the Nigra Arts Center. The winners are:

Best in Show – Mixed Media: “Textile Seaside” by Gabriella Gabriel Dillmann of Niskayuna

Best in Show – Photography: “Golden Dragon” by Alan Schroeder of Schenectady

Best in Show – 3D Art: “Signature Staved Vase” by Michael Kratky of Northville

The gallery is open for public viewing free of charge weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts is located at 2736 State Highway 30, Gloversville.
