Each week, Dori Daknis shares her love of yoga with students at the Nigra Arts Center.  Now she'll share her love of reading with Dori's Book Club. The series, which will be held once a month, launches on February 5th with a video recording of a 20 minute TED Talk with Brené Brown*.  Brown studies human connection: our ability to empathize, belong and love. In a poignant, funny talk, Brown shares a deep insight from her research, one that sent her on a personal quest to know herself as well as to understand humanity. For the next book club meeting (date to be announced), club members will be asked to read Brown's book entitled The Gifts of Imperfection.

*This talk was presented to a local audience at TEDxHouston, an independent event.
